Reboot problem

When I reboot, my BIOS does not see my SSD. I have a number of Linux distros installed on this drive, including Windows 10. The problem occurs only when I use Archman (XCFE version with KDE Plasma installed). I thought it might be related to the partition Archman was installed on, so I rsync'd everything over to another partition, but the problem still occurred. I made the fstab the same as my Arch Linux installation, but that did not solve the problem either. If I shutdown, there is not problem when I boot. It's only when I reboot from Archman.

Weird. Archman is pure Arch Linux and few custom packages.

Do you have any failed systemd  units? I think problem is caused by ACPI/APIC or by firmware modules that should be blacklisted.

Can you provide us output of lspci -vv , systemctl --failed and journalctl -b -1 ?

Note: Reboot and boot again from your Archman installation before running commands above.

You have no journal records and all systemd units seems to be loaded. Journaling feature of systemd may be configured by /etc/systemd/journald.conf, when we set Storage=volatile or Storage=none no persistent data is saved.

By default permanent systemd journaling is set on.

All below commands must return same output - a unique ID of the machine:

systemd-machine-id-setup --print
dbus-uuidgen --get
cat /etc/machine-id
cat /var/lib/dbus/machine-id

If machine ID is reset on every reboot the journals will be saved as new machine records.

This will not explain why SSD is cutted of by BIOS after reboot. Logical explanation is installation process failure. I had some problems before with Calamares when installing Manjaro on old Pentium PC and when tryed to unsquash and manually set all installation tasks everything worked.
Broken installs are caused many times by broken media, it is wise to check integrity of ISO file and when write it to USB procede it with sync option (cp /some/iso/file /dev/[usbstick] && sync) .

I would like to know did they change the way the updates are done that you have to do restarts'' There might be a message ''System Restart Required'' when something close to the kernel gets changed, but you decide when to do it.
There are many ways hibernate, suspend, disk-off and screen-off can go wrong. It would disable them all while you learn what 'normal' is on your machine.
Usually, this is the sign of software activity provoking something wobbly in hardware.
