I do not think that this is bug more xfce fault. always when i use xfce on different computers and systems (even ubuntu) when i want log out/reboot or power off computer from start menu i have beep from system speaker sometimes also in terminal. only on few distro that i use quite many i dont have this issue but then i found that they add to blacklist pc speaker module:
/etc/modprobe.d/nobeep.conf
blacklist pcspkr
blacklist snd_pcsp
or other way simply add this line:
xset -b
to xprofile which are execute at the beginning of the user session
if you search on google: "xfce beep shutdown" you will see that the problem appears quite often on many users i dont know why on my 2 computer i have always problem with that only under xfce
We created two files under /etc/modprobe.d/ and solved the problem
nobeep.conf
blacklist pcspkr
blacklist snd_pcsp
snd_pcsp.conf
#Sound problem fixed
blacklist snd_pcsp
thanks for feedback
