archman - f2fs ready ?
« : 14 Mayıs 2018, 09:54:57 »
hello, I've found your distributions reading flattering reviews. I tested the livecd image and I'm impressed. I would like to install it on my laptop where I recently installed the ssd disk, I have several questions because I want to optimize my work and before i never had ssd disc.

- select f2fs file system during installation? maybe some of you have some experience with this file system for ssd discs?
- after the installation change the default I/O Scheduler for hard drive? because I know that there are several i/o: cfq/deadline/noop/ mq-deadline and every distribution i try prefers something else for example manajro use bfq

Hello and welcome to our comunity,

Archman OS is pure Arch Linux and some other stuff. Arhman OS can be installed on f2fs via Calamares. During the partitioning step there is no option to format because f2fs-tools package isn't installed in live media. To enabling it:
Connect to Internet if you arnt
Update  package list:
Kod: [Seç]
pacuInstall f2fs-tools:
Kod: [Seç]
pac f2fs-tools
As you see after all you can format a partition as f2fs and install there the system:

There isnt significant difference between Manjaro and Arch Linux so the solutions for i/o will work in Archman OS
